Clearing the Mind

While growing up, my Grandfather always told me "When you have a problem go and work the Earth."  I was young so I thought he just wanted me to help out in the garden.  I did listen to him so whenever I had a problem, I would go and work on the land.  Whatever that meant, clearing weeds, planting new plants, and watering or cutting the grass.

After a while, I came to understand what he meant.  If I had a problem that was perplexing me or causing me stress, and I started to "Work the land", I focused on what I was doing so I stopped making the problem that I was thinking too hard about so much bigger than it should have been.  I cleared my head, was able to put the problem into perspective, and solve it quickly.  It worked for me every time.

Then I discovered that "When you have a problem go and work the Earth" served two purposes.  It helped me clear my head and Mother Earth benefit from it as well from the work I did.

It reminds me of my 2nd favorite quote: "No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it." - Albert Einstein

Clearing your mind of your problem can help you put it into perspective and possibly solve it sooner rather than later, getting you back to a relaxed state of being.

Peace and Love to the Universe!
