Make A Wish

If you made a wish, what would that wish be for?

Think about it for a moment.  This is the only wish you get, just this one.  What is it for?

Do you understand that your wish doesn’t just affect you? It affects everyone around you. Do you understand how that wish would affect the people around you and the people around them? Do you understand the seriousness of your wish and its effects?

What if you wished to be extremely wealthy?  What would happen?  Do you think your wealth only affects you?  What would your siblings say, or do, if you were extremely wealthy?  Would they ask you for money?  Would they expect you to share your wealth with them?  What about your parents, your friends, or your children?  If you decided not to share any of your money with anyone, how would that affect your relationships?  If you did decide to share with everyone, how would that affect you, them, and then the people around them?

Let’s say you gave $25,000 to charity, how many lives will you have affected by giving that money?  How many people would you have helped?

Wishes don’t just affect you, they affect everyone around you, and the people around them.  It is the same with your actions, your words, and your intent.

My wish is for peace in the Universe and good will to all beings in the Universe. It is for all wars to end and for all killing to cease. It is for understanding, joy, happiness, kindness, tenderness, patience, effective communication, and mutual respect (of and toward each other). It is for universal love among all beings in the Universe.

  1. Monica you are one of the most inspiring people I've met in my adult life. I remember the first time we worked together. I could feel the energy you brought to every task, and the joy and elation you brought out of people. Always full of life and never judgmental, you have a gift for bringing out the best in people. A kind and giving soul, I could see that you were destined to help people since the day I met you!

  2. Your post Make a Wish means we must always think about what we do. It's not easy to do this because most times we walk around thinking everything we do is right. What I think you are saying is to always think about your actions no matter how big or small. I am looking forward to more of your posts.

  3. I really love your blog post. The one on your judgment is you know, really, really insightful and I've reblogged it. Good luck !

  4. I am going to have to think about my wishes now before I make them. I didn't realize it was so much responsibility involved.

  5. As always, your posts are very thought-provoking and make me take a step back to really ponder what I'm asking the Universe for. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to read your book! Thanks so much!

  6. I always thought my wishes were so simple but after reading your post, now I don't think that at all. Responsibility for my words and thoughts is not something I have given much thought to. I am responsible for my actions and thought that was enough. Thank you for your posts, I look forward to reading more.

  7. be careful what you wish only takes one wish, person, thought ,action to have an impact on the ripples of life

  8. It's a great post - its helps people understand consequences which is easily overlooked. Micheal Jordan once said - for those of my fans that want to be rich and famous I have some advice for you - "be rich not famous".

With wishing though there is a lack of action, and people should realize that action is a necessity for success. No one will attain wishes without desirable action towards that wish. So my wish is that people start to become more accountable for their positions in life and take action towards understanding how they can change their position. If you are not happy it's no one fault but your own. I wish you happiness - should you accept the quest to find it through doing something about it.

  9. great post, great perspective. reminds me of a quote: "You're never given a wish without also being given the ability to make it come might to have work for it however" - I guess one should also *think* about their wish a little deeply too
